Fort Lauderdale Lawyer John Contini.

"Would you like some free advice, worth more than it costs you?" ... "It'll only take me a few minutes to listen to your problem -  and God willing, I may know enough about the issues in the involved area of the law to give you some free advice;  and if that advice ends up helping you out even a little bit, that'll bless me too!"

"Too often people look for pro bono lawyers and they find neither "pro" nor "bono," meaning they end up believing that they got what they paid for, nothing "pro" or "PROfessional" or positive, and perhaps even something negative - and what is "bono" anyway, aside from something to do with that sonny bono dude of the sonny and cher show?"

"I am not a pro bono lawyer, and yet I would be more than happy to give you some free advice if it'll end up helping you out in life. The beauty in this sort of giving:  You may end up getting blessed by the help, you'll be appreciative and tell all your friends, and it'll all come back around and I end up getting blessed too - and besides, even if none of that happens, it really is true what He tells us in the Bible, "it's better to give than to receive."

"What I believe He means by this scripture, is that we get that good feeling simply knowing that we selflessly gave of ourselves, and that someone may have benefitted. We can give a gift of money or a gift of free advice or a gift of "time" - either way, if we pour ourselves into the life of another human being, God will bless the giving, and it's usually a blessing or gift on both ends, to both the recipient AND the giver."

"Having said all this, remember that it's the "advice" that's free - as well as the time involved in listening and giving the advice during this initial free phone consultation, and not the representation itself, should we agree that my office would represent your interests. We will agree on the appropriate fee for legal representation, if we decide that my office should get involved as an advocate in your case."

Recent Questions and Answers

The Miami police roughed me up pretty badly and arrested me, and I stayed in jail for two weeks, but then the charges were dismissed. What can I do about it?

Answer: Plenty. Title 42 of the United States Code, Section 1983, allows you to file a civil rights suit for redress of your civil rights violations. "Excessive force" is a civil rights violation, just as "false arrest" is another.
